Happy Halloween

Saturday, October, 31, 2015

Today we are going to do a barbecue, play basketball and be relaxed.  We had a crazy trip to the jungle until Wednesday so we are trying to take it slow today... (Note: I believe he means from Monday to Wednesday, but I think his brain is thinking in Spanish.)

I have been doing training for zone leader conferences we have 3 multi zones in the next two weeks that we have to do trainings.

My apt is a 4000 sole house.... but the missionaries before didn't really take care of it so..  It's okay... We eat out a lot... Traveling and stuff.  We often can't be in the pension very much... But, when we can be she cooks really well!  We do our own laundry which is nice because we have a machine and we can wash whenever we need without really having to wait for another week.  I'm happy here!!  It's cool that president trusts me with something like this!  And God as well!

I have been trying to be very careful about being humble. haha  In Timothy it talks about the signs of pride... haha being disobedient to your parents is on the list... Which helped me realize that I was pretty bad before... and I didn't really notice...  I have tried to be better at noticing so that I can change really well before I get home..

We try to be regular missionaries...  But we have so many things to do that we can usually only proselyte from 4-8 also there is a lot less to tell you guys about for this week!!  Sorry... I know how much you hate short letters..

(Note:  He must have been busy because he didn't even sign this letter.  But, a short letter sometimes means lots of pictures... )

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all good and happy.  This week I don't have a general letter.  I wanted to write you all as a brother.

Thank you for all being so good!  FOR ALL BEING MY FRIENDS.  I hope I can say that I have been there for you as much as you have been there for me.  I was blessed at a young age to have a good family!  And you all part of that!  I just want to express my love and appreciation for you all.  I know that families are eternal and the fact that you are all my family makes me happy about that.

I am sending Christmas presents back with an elder who's finishing and the other half next transfer..

Love you all!
Elder Glassett

Hola papa¡

Como estas?  Espero que todo este bien y que la familia este feliz.

Me acuerdo de la cita de mark twain que dice.
"When I was 18 my dad was the dumbest man i knew.  When I was 21 I was amazed to see how much he had learned in just two years..."

Hi mom!

It's my new pday so I'm writing everyone because I have more time!!

How is life?? How is dad and your other many children that you have adopted over the years?

This week I have just kept realizing that I have been very blessed in my life and mission. In my life because I have never needed anything.  The mission because I have a good President.  We had dinner at his house last night and I felt like I was at home joking around with you guys!  It was great!

I just want to thank you for being awesome!  I know that we don't really say that enough.

Another transfer is ending and I have a lot of work on me...but I know that God sustains those he calls.

Love you a bunch.

Always Smiling,
Elder Glassett

Short letter sorry

Monday, October 12, 2015

Wow!

This is week 6!!  Transfers are next week.  I can't believe it!  Cross your fingers that I go to the jungle!!!  I still haven't done that, apart from Tingo twice.

Abuela. Sí recibí tu pakete.así que no te precuces.

This week we had the conference of leaders.   Where we kind of received revelation and confirming revelation at once, we have realized that we spend too much time talking about one thing or what happened at home… or what we did once or another thing that’s not Christ.  And we can’t teach very well of him because we don’t use the book of Mormon.  We have to get better at that.  But not just as missionaries, we all need to learn more about Christ.  We all need to study his life.

Haha also I learned how dramatic we are as people… this week haha my comp had something that hurt him 3 times randomly and he then convinced himself that his appendix was about to burst.  I tried to tell him that it will hurt a lot more and that he will start to hate me when it really does.  But I could not console him.  We went to the doctor and it was just that he had eaten something bad…. Why do we always go to the worst???  I want to write more because we went to the huge glacier today but we have to go get ready!

Sonriendo Siempre,

Elder Glassett!

Red carpet baptism!!!‏

Monday, October 5, 2015

Family,

I need a bombilla Dad… and nothing else…  Actually my shoes are in need of replacement… one pair…  I found a pair for 160 soles that are pretty comfy which is the most important thing to me.

So if I could get a little money of my card… I am sorry I had to take out a lot... Es por vuestra navidad!

Today we are going to a place called Santa Rosa… it’s a museum. It should be cool!

Alexis didn’t get permission for his baptism… it’s like Jordy all over again… if you guys remember Jordy…. He finally got baptized in Pasco!!! An Elder told me!

I feel very much at a loss!I don’t know what to say!

I learned in the confrence that men as a general group really need to step up our Game!  Haha  I really like the talk about the kid who was playing in the mud and had to get sprayed off with the hose to go inside.  I remember being the kid once or twice.  I thought about how true that is!!!  We really do sometimes get messy.  In all sorts of things that we don’t need or plan.  I’m grateful for a loving savior who knows that and who works with us.  Giving us what we need this week.  The sacrament and its importance…  I think that almost all of life’s failures come from something being so easy that we think we can get by without it… not because it was too hard….

I love the little things that we should do… simple things, are simple to do…  Servant of nahum..

Sonriendo Siempre
