Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Hey so I cant read anything and I need to go soon!  But I'm in the presidents house and they are sooooo cool!! I love them!

I find out my area and companion tomorrow so I will tell you that all later.  The bus was 8 hours and I basically relived my Scotland boat trip.  It was great.  I'll tell you guys way more on Monday!

Shot to the heart and you're to blame

August 20, 2014

Alright to get a couple of things out of the way... I learned how to do back flips this week...

Today we went to the temple for the last time in two years!!  More like 22 months but I'm not letting myself count like that!  I got some good stuff for Christmas hehe!  I'm on the ball down here!

Also a 70 came last night and spoke and I didn't need a translator... ¡estoy chevere!  To be completely honest not much is going on down here..  My next p day is not in 7 days it's the Monday after Wednesday! Don't feel bad if that time comes and I haven't written.  I will at some point on Monday!  Also I can receive normal letters and packages when I leave this place!  And I'm down to get some one day if anyone wants to write real letters!

I heard that during the 8 hours bus ride to Huancayo four hours of it are freezing... so I'm looking forward to that... Also I bought Book of Mormon in Quechua!  I'm gonna try and learn some of it because that language is sweet!!

Today my thought comes from D&C 82:10.  It's about keeping covenants. And my thought is this, God will always keep his word. The question is will we?  If God broke a promise to us he would literally stop being God because he can't lie.. This is the kicker...  How can we expect to become gods if we don't keep our promises?

I've thought about the fall alot.. haha  I've been speculating on a lot of unimportant details to try and understand things ... like that I don't hold it as doctrine but I like to think.. you guys know that!  It brings peace to me to be able to go to class after studying and give myself visual aids on the board.  Every thing here make you learn faster!

Looking back at this letter it's not nearly as long as a thought it would be... but it's okay.. know that I love you guys!!

Yo guys

Wednesday, August 13, 2014

This week was month 1...If every month goes this fast I'm gonna be home in...like 23 months!  Really though, I cannot believe that in two weeks I will be out of this place! With real people.  With real problems.  I'm so dang excited! like... I'm vibrating right now. But that's cause it's chilly and I just had some mate!

Last week in proselyting it was sweet!  I was with a guy named Arrieta!  He was a boss!  We got paired up with one of the actual elders from one of the Lima missions.  He is Chilean! And he was sick!  We taught this lady who said the book of mormon is true.. But she still only feels the spirit in her catolico church...estrana..

Anyway that elder said some thing to me that I thought was really cool!  As we were darting around Lima literally through streets he turns to me and says. ¨es un poco peligroso aqui, pero con su placa nada es nada (¨It's a little dangerous here, with your plaque, it's no problem")  ...it was sick!  It made me feel like I am protected which I am... but still!  It was nice to know!

Then we came back to the ccm and a few days later all the 6 weekers were gone.  It was weird that in the short month I've known those guys I have bonded with all of them..  People are funny! We always attach ourselves to other things even when we know those things are gonna leave.  It makes me think of Helaman 5:12,  if we will build on Christ all is well.

ALSO I'M RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND THIS IS SOMETHING I THOUGH WAS REALLY COOL!  The thought came to me the other day. Christ didn't die for our sins, he died for our Salvation.  Think about that for a moment.  I'm sure that while he was in the garden he wasn't thinking about our sins.  I think he was thinking about how he could be with all of us again!

 Anyway much love,

HEY GUYS!

Wednesday, August 6, 2014

THIS WEEK I HAD A GOOD IDEA THAT I SHOULD COVER ALL MY BASIS AND WRITE PART OF MY LETTER BEFORE! I ALSO DECIDED THAT LOWER CASE IS FOR SQUARES AND I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE..

Anyway, this week has been the new fastest week of my life! It doesn't make sense how fast everything is! I have a thoery that everything takes a day... let me explain.

Everything around here takes a day... lunch takes a day. Class takes a day. Personal study takes a day... A day takes a day. A week takes a day... We refer to everything as yesterday around here.

My comp and I are still buddies. Also Evans and Perrins are our friends too!  Yesterday a member of the 70 came and talked to us! It was so good!  He talked about how on June 23 there was a conference where they came up with a plan for missionaries 2.0 instead of the 1.0 Zach was :) ha!  His name was Elder Waddell! He was cool!

Another thing we talked about was the importance of having God's trust. We don't need to work for his love. He gives it to us freely.  What we need to do is gain his trust!

I have focused my time on learning about Cristo. It's unbelievable how much he did for us. I am half way through Jesus the Christ and I finished the bom this week on Friday! If there's one thing i learned from it it would be that God is Extremely patient with us!  He has never given up on anyone! My new favorite verse is Mosiah 7:33!  (But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage.)  I always used it when we are fake teaching fake people! it's worth money!!

What else... we cant go to the temple today because its closed but next week we are going!!! At one, we are going to the city to walk around and stuff!  It's a party!!  If you have anymore questions let me know!

Coco Question and Answer.................

Is everything in Spanish there?  "Everything is Spanish... Me and my comp definitely know more Spanish than most people here so that's good but I'm still not there yet!

In reply to too many questions that will be answered in his weekly letter.  "I'm still typing it doe.. Whilst i converse with thee."

Mom:  "I am hoping the mono is not bugging you."  Coco:  "It's not. Unless it's doing a sneak attack in which case it is being very sneaky because I don't feel a thing!"
